The work Richard Kraft has shown in the past few years has been mostly two dimensional, with some sculpture folded in, and usually indexical (multiple renderings or birds, or of passengers in London's tube). His new show at Laguna Art Museum features an immersive three channel video installation with loosely-related footage shot in New York, Los Angeles and Varanasi in India.

Tomorrowland, Alli Schmeltz's series of structures that are futuristic in a Space Odyssey-meets-Frank Lloyd Wright sort of way, are meant to evoke unrealized, or unrealizable, utopia. Cross Cut, a geometric sculpture from the series, is made of discarded building materials and on view now in Grand Central Arts project room.
