UC Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA 93106-7130
Probably best known for working in the landscape in the 1960s and 1970s, installing steel, concrete and wood sculptures in open outdoor spaces, Alice Aycock has also drawn throughout her career. Sometimes, she’s made studies and sometimes imaginative, colorful abstractions. This show, organized by the Parrish Museum, starts with drawings made in the 1970s and continues through 1984. Her drawing from 1984-present are on view at the nearby Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
