Dianna Molzan: La Jennifer

In the past, Dianna Molzan has left stretcher bars bare, or allowed not-quite-square canvas to hang loosely off her frames in a way that feels unfinished. The paintings in her new show involve hardly any exposed wood and, as a result, feel more like finished abstractions than in-progress experiments. But some do take unconventional shapes, like the narrow suit of canvases with eyes and lips, and the show is still pleasantly quirky.
