Matthew Brannon, the New York artist whose pared-down graphic images often have passive-aggressive undertones, built up his new show around an erotic novella he wrote. Called Leopard, the novella itself will be inaccessible to viewers (the PR makes it sound like the book will actually be there, just hidden somewhere). But Brannon wants the two video monitors — a woman reads on one and the text she’s reading scrolls by on the other — and new suite of paintings, made using printing processes, to surround viewers with Leopard‘s content.
